PROCEDURES
FOR DOAMULTIPLEX |
| |
|
|
BENEFITS
• Simple and rapid
• No special equipment is needed
• Results are easy to interpret
• No sample preparation
• Results in 5 minutes |
|
i.
For each test, open one DOA MULTIPLEX (THC/MET/AMP/OPI)
device with the patient ID. Remove blue cap.

| |
|
|
PERFORMANCE
CHARACTERISTICS
Method : Immunochromatography
Detection : Opiate : 300 ng/ml or
> Marijuana (THC) : 50 ng/ml or >
Methamphetamine :1000 ng/ml
or > Amphetamine :1000 ng/ml
or > Specimen : Urine
Assay time : 5 minutes
Reproducibility : Very high
Precision : Very good |
|
ii.
Immerse the sample well side of the DOA MULTIPLEX
(THC/MET/AMP/OPI) so that the urine covers the
two sample wells. Hold until the urine starts migrating
through the result windows (approximately 7 seconds).
Do not immerse above the maximum dipping line or
allow the urine sample to touch the result windows.

INTERPRETATION
OF RESULTS
Negative (-) = Control line and Specific
Drug line
Positive (+) = Control line and no Specific Drug Line(s)
1. POSITIVE : The appearance of a reddish-purple control line and no distinct
line next to a specific drug name indicates the test result is positive for that
drug (i.e.the specimens contain the drug at a concentration above the cut off
level). A positive test result does not provide any indication of the level of
intoxication or urinary concentrate of the drug in the sample, it only indicates
the sample contains drug above the cut off level in qualitative terms.
2. NEGATIVE : The appearance of a reddish-purple
control line and a line at a specific drug position
indicates a negative test result i.e. no drug
above the cut off level has been detected. The
colour intensities of the control line and a
specific drug position, visible in 5 minutes
should indicate the absence of drug in the sample.
It only indicates the absence of drug in the
sample and the sample does not contain drug above
the cut off level in qualitative terms.
3. INVALID : A distinct control line should always
appear. The test is invalid if no control line
forms at the C position. Such a test should be
repeated with a new DOA MULTIPLEX (THC/MET/AMP/OP)
test device.
