Malaysian Bio-Diagnostics Research Sdn Bhd (MBDr) was incorporated in 1994 and began operations in September 1995.
Initially established as a company to commercialise research undertaken on diagnosis of typhoid fever, MBDr has expanded into producing various other medical diagnostics products amongst others, pregnancy test, drugs of abuse test and brugian filariasis.
Through the strategic partnerships with various Universities and Research Institutes, MBDr is currently developing new medical diagnostic products for the detection of various diseases such as, tuberculosis, malaria, HIV, paratyphoid, Nipah virus and dengue.
MBDr aims to position itself as a global leader in developing and marketing diagnostic tests, providing a strong foundation for diagnostics and treatment decisions. This is achieved through active collaboration with leaders, researchers and clinicians around the world to review current trends and address gaps in the field of medical diagnostics. We leverage our collaborations to develop and deliver tools that target identified unmet needs in diagnostic testing.
